Organisational Expansion and Strategic Focus

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Community Radio Station under the aegis of Agraniya Educational & Social Welfare Society. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to empowering communities—especially youth and women—through communication, education, and access to information.

Purpose and Vision
The Community Radio will serve as a grassroots platform to:

• Empower Goan youth through training in communication, storytelling, and media skills, building confidence and enhancing employability.

• Promote women’s empowerment by broadcasting programmes on rights, health, education, livelihoods, and community leadership.

• Increase awareness of Government schemes at the central, state, and local levels, ensuring citizens are informed about opportunities related to education, employment, welfare, and social support. • Preserve and promote languages and culture, including Konkani and other regional languages, strengthening identity and community connection.

• Provide life-skills education and civic awareness, giving a voice to underrepresented communities and encouraging active participation in social and local governance.

After many years of sustained grassroots work across New Delhi and the NCR region, Agraniya Educational & Social Welfare Society is expanding its presence to Goa under the leadership of its President, Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, a Goan by origin. During this period, the organisation has implemented multiple community programmes focused on education access, women’s empowerment, health awareness, environmental responsibility, and youth development among underserved communities. While our national initiatives in Delhi will continue, Agraniya is establishing a dedicated branch office in Goa to deepen its engagement in the state. This expansion reflects a strategic commitment to extend our impact through community-based education, youth capacity building, and social awareness initiatives tailored to local needs. The upcoming Community Radio will serve as a flagship platform to amplify local voices, improve access to information, and strengthen community participation across Goa.

Agraniya Educational & Social Welfare Society is an all-India nonprofit organisation dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education, awareness, and capacity building. Over the past many years, our work in Delhi has included:

• School enrolment and retention initiatives

In addition, the organisation has supported schools with digital learning resources such as Smart TVs and tablets, improving access to modern educational tools and enhancing student engagement.
